Meet Dr. Jennifer Pham

Dr. Jennifer Pham

With more than a decade of experience working as a dentist near Hamilton, Dr. Pham combines her love for art and science in an environment that allows her to take care of her patients’ oral health while giving them the smile of their dreams.

Growing up in Northern Virginia, she attended James Madison University and achieved her bachelor's degree in biology in 2004. After enrolling at Barry University and earning her master’s degree in biomedical sciences in 2006, she went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2010 at Temple University School of Dentistry – the nation’s second-oldest and most renowned dental school. While in attendance, Dr. Pham completed rotations at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Episcopal Hospital, and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.

Dr. Pham returned to her hometown in South Riding and continues to provide outstanding oral healthcare services to residents of Northern Virginia.

Since completing her formal schooling, she has pursued continuing education courses and training at the Las Vegas Institute of Neuromuscular and Restorative Dentistry, as well as an advanced course in Invisalign, laser dentistry, implant dentistry, and sedation dentistry.

Apart from her work in the dental office, you’ll also find her volunteering with underserved individuals through the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic, Mission of Mercy, and Remote Area Medical.

Outside of the office, Dr. Pham enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters. An active and fully engaged mom, she is invested in the activities her daughters enjoy, including soccer, art, piano, and tennis. She can also be found immersed in gardening, playing tennis, reading, and traveling.

“I have been going to downtown family dental for years, and Dr. Pham is the best! The atmosphere in the office is calm and cozy, and everyone is so friendly! We continue conversations we have had previously, regardless of the fact that I only come in twice a year! My cleanings are always extremely thorough. On top of all of these great things, I just recently came in due to a chipped tooth. They were able to squeeze me in the next day. I got it bonded and was in and out of there in under 30 minutes with my tooth looking like nothing ever happened! I can’t say enough good things and I highly recommend downtown family dental :)”

Why Do You Need a Dentist Near Hamilton?

Dr. Pham and the rest of our team near Hamilton proudly provide a comprehensive menu of services to meet the needs of you and your family conveniently under one roof. Continue reading to learn more about the specific treatments that we offer, and please don’t hesitate to contact us to schedule an appointment.

I Need a Checkup & Cleaning

Did you know the American Dental Association recommends scheduling a routine exam and cleaning every six months? This allows Dr. Pham to monitor your dental condition, enabling her to catch and treat any areas of concern before they become more serious.

A professional checkup and cleaning also removes plaque and bacteria buildup to strengthen your enamel and connective tissues, increasing your resistance to common oral issues, such as cavities, gum disease, and bad breath.

I Have a Cavity or Broken Tooth

Dental damage and decay can detract from your mouth’s functionality and appearance, but thankfully, we have multiple tooth-colored options that can help. For example, cavities can often be mended with customized dental fillings made from color-matched composite resin that bonds directly with your enamel.

More severely broken teeth may need to be covered with a dental crown, which is typically made from resilient ceramic designed to match the tone, shape, and size of your natural teeth for seamless results.

I Want to Enhance My Smile

If you’re feeling self-conscious about one or more aesthetic flaws in your smile, such as chips, cracks, stubborn stains, or other issues, you might avoid spending time with others.

Our team can enhance your appearance and boost your confidence with cosmetic procedures, including veneers, Lumineers, dental bonding, teeth whitening, gum recontouring, and more! Dr. Pham can recommend appropriate services to help you achieve your smile goals after your initial consultation.

I Need A Straighter Smile

Invisalign is a popular alternative to traditional orthodontics that relies on smooth plastic aligners that fit snugly over your arches to shift your teeth to their ideal positions gently. Because the transparent trays are removable, they’re typically considered more comfortable, discreet, and less invasive than standard braces.

I am Missing 1 or More Teeth

Gaps in your grin can make it difficult to eat, speak, and smile confidently, but we can provide long-lasting replacement teeth to close the empty spaces. Whether you require dentures or a dental bridge or prefer a more permanent dental implant, we can replace lost teeth to improve your daily quality of life.

I Am in Pain & Need Help

If you’ve had a dental emergency and need help, call us immediately and we’ll try to get you in the same day, if possible. Then, we’ll examine your condition, which may involve X-rays or other imaging tests and scans, to identify the underlying issue so we can devise an appropriate treatment plan. We also offer multiple options for sedation, so you don’t have to wait long for pain relief.

I am Worried About Bleeding Gums

Gum disease often starts small, but doesn’t always exhibit visible symptoms in its earliest stages, so it’s often allowed to progress. Scaling and root planing is a two-part treatment that can halt its progress by cleaning deeply into the pockets of your gums, then smoothing your enamel to encourage your connective tissues to reattach. We also provide antibiotic treatment and gum grafting when necessary.

I Am Nervous/Scared of the Dentist

Many people experience anxiety around dental visits, whether their appointment is for routine preventive care or a more complex procedure. Dr. Pham can administer oral conscious sedation, which is prescribed as a pill that you take before you arrive, to help you feel more comfortable. She also provides nitrous oxide (laughing gas) that’s inhaled through a mask placed over your nose while she works.
